Assassin’s Creed III Multiplayer and Combat Details

Ubisoft has confirmed today that the developer of the multiplayer portion of the last two Assassain’s Creed games, Ubisoft Annecy will be making the multiplayer in Assassin’s Creed 3. Also, Alex Hutchinson, the creative director of Assassin’s Creed 3, spoke about the combat sytem in Assassin Creed 3. He stated:
“The combat system in Assassin’s Creed III has been completely redone. We burned it to the ground and we’re building it back up”.
“At its base it’s a two-handed combat system, so all of the weapons are two-handed. Some of the cool new combinations include a tomahawk and knife. Connor also has a bow.”
“At first our research said basically that bows had been replaced by guns, but what we found was that a lot of the different tribes were still using them to hunt from horseback because the guns were so inaccurate. We thought it was a cool weapon, and still historically accurate”.

                  Assassin’s Creed 3 launches on October 31, 2012 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and the Wii U.

New Video Game Rating Proposal

A new bill is being proposed to Congress that would require video games to have labels on the front of the case that states “WARNING: Exposure to violent video games has been linked to aggressive behavior.” The Violence in Video Games Labeling Act was introduced Monday by Joe Baca (D-Calif.) and Frank Wolf (R-Va.) in response to what the group claims is increasing evidence that playing violent games can be bad for your health. This absurd bill would include all video games, both violent and non violent. There would be a warning label on a games like Mario Party and Gears of War alike.   The humorous aspect is that studies have proven that video games do not make people violent.

Ninja Gaiden 3 Having Multiplayer Connection Problems

It has been reported that Ninja Gaiden 3, which was released Tuesday, has been having some problems accessing the Online Pass for both Xbox 360 and PS3. The online pass opens up the multiplayer for the game, but the fact that it is locking out players on release day probably is frustrating and disappointing owners. Personally, I feel this is a reason companies shouldn’t be making Online Passes necessary because they tend to mess up. If you have paid 60 bucks for a new game, it should be expected to work. No word yet on when the multiplayer will be up and running.
