Quantic Dream’s “Kara”

Heavy Rain’s creator,  Quantic Dream, have released a tech demo, showing off their new way of capturing character models. The demo is called “Kara” which features the assembling of a robotic woman. But just in the few minutes of the demo, you are taken with emotion for the woman as she just simply wants to live and could possibly be destroyed. You can also see how far Quantic’s techniques have come and how they will be able to create a realistic game. This is the future of games! We were big fans of Heavy Rain, but Quantic has said that they will not be making a sequel. This trailer could be a hint to a future game. But from the looks of this demo, hopefully “Kara” will be born again.
Take a Look at “Kara”‘s Incredible Trailer.

I Am Alive Released to XBLA & PSN

I Am Alive published by Ubisoft has been released to Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network. After years of date push backs and character changes, the game has finally be released. It is a survival horror action game, that puts you into the shoes of a survivor of “The Event” as he tries to stay alive in a post apocalyptic world. Judging by the demo, the game looked pretty good for an arcade release. We will have a review of the game soon.

Mass Effect 3 Having Import Face Problems

As expected, not everything goes right on release day. And Mass Effect 3 is no different. Many players have said they are having problems importing their characters, from Mass Effect 1 and 2 into Mass Effect 3. It hinders a lot of the gamers who have played ME 1 or 2, who want to bring their character over to the new game from playing. It forces them to either start a new character or wait till Bioware sends out a patch to fix the problem. Bioware sent out an official statement about the problem:
“The issue is likely in how faces were detected when imported from Mass Effect 1 into Mass Effect 2, and we’re working on the best way to correct it for affected players.” In our experience, a wonky import process only messes with facial data, and none of Shepard’s recorded actions throughout the previous games.”

Hopefully this is fixed soon so players can enjoy Mass Effect 3 like they want to. We personally didn’t have any problem importing our ME 2 character into the new game, but we would understand the frustration that some gamers are feeling. We will keep you updated as more information comes in.
